Does Your Life Seem Empty?

Does your life seem empty,
Riddled with despair,
Praying into lonesome dark:
"Is anyone out there?"

"Why isn't my life working?
Is there a God somewhere?"
Then, at last, the answer comes,
"I'm here, but do you care?"

"I've often spoken to you,
But you would never hear,
Speaking words of light and hope,
Of purity and cheer."

"Long ago you heard me.
You thought that I was wrong.
Don't say your God won't show the way.
I've been here all along."

"And if you will receive me,
I've got my hand out still.
Find me while it's called today;
If you seek, you will."

"I'll guide if you will yield.
I'll comfort and I'll feed
If, just, your heart will yield to me.
Just try me. I will lead."

If The Holy Spirit Leads

Some doctrine, dogma, theory, thought
Seems so valid when it's not.
Is it revelation though
Or speculation; do you know?
When men's assumptions are forgot,
They sound like facts, but they are not,
And on this sandy soil of lies
They build a tower to the skies.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

The mind is wicked to deceive,
Many tricks are up its sleeve.
Taking theories from the pit,
It twists the Word of God to fit.
And, all those strongholds in the mind,
Now how they hold us, how they bind!
Lord, all these theories, take away.
Expose them to the light of day.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

God's Word is pure, but logic? No!
When combined, they're quite a show.
Tainted truth is never shy
To bring forth one more crafty lie.
But rather if the Spirit leads,
If we will yield, if we concede,
And laying down all that we know,
That's when we can begin to grow.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

So don't resist Him when He leads
For He knows of all your needs.
He wants to fill you today.
He leads you in His holy way.
He leads you to His Word with prayer
To find a pleasant respite there,
Our theories are of little use,
But He reveals His holy Truth.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

The Spirit leads if we obey;
On resistance, goes away.
Christian, have you heard His voice,
But made, instead, a different choice?
As Baalim, did the Spirit show?
But, when you spurned Him, bid you, "Go!"
You can repent and turn around.
But seek Him while He may be found.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

So, if the Holy Spirit leads
He moves in total unity.
Sent by self? It is in vain,
Or sent by men? Where is the gain?
And God set the apostles for
A sure foundation and what's more,
The doctrine is revealed to them
Just as the Scripture does proclaim.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

So many ran who were not sent,
And God's ways they broke or bent,
Saying what folks love to hear,
And drawing those with itching ears.
The Spirit tells you how you need
The true apostles who will lead,
And if you yield, He will reveal.
The Lord will show you what is real.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

So Count your education loss.
Leave it hanging on the cross.
Seek the Lord with all your might,
And let Him bring His Word to light.
For bread, He won't give you a stone,
Nor snake for fish unto His own.
He is the one whom you can trust.
He is the good and kind and just.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

Some doctrine, dogma, theory, thought
Seems so valid when it's not.
Is it revelation though
Or speculation; do you know?
When men's assumptions are forgot,
They sound like facts, but they are not,
And on this sandy soil of lies
They build a tower to the skies.

If the Holy Spirit leads
Each one who yields,
Each one who heeds,
He will teach us all the same.
Glory to His holy Name!
Let us follow as He leads us,
For in Him, we are agreed.
All our own ways, now disclaim.
Glory to His Holy name.

Lord What Would You Have Me Do?

Lord what would You have me do?
Let me come before Your face that I might know.
Lord what would You have me do?
Lord, let my heart melt before You.
Let my stony will be soft as clay.
Lord what would You have me do?
Expose all evil ways in me.
Lord, give me grace that I might see.
And let all strongholds be torn down that I might be set free.
Lord what would You have me do?

Oh Lord, In You Is Hidden All Knowledge

O Lord, in You is hidden all knowledge.
O Lord, in You is hidden all knowledge.
O Lord, in You is hidden all knowledge.
Let us not lean on our own understanding.

O Lord, You are mighty in battle.
O Lord, You are mighty in battle.
O Lord, You are mighty in battle.
Let us lean on the gifts You have given.

O Lord You are worthy of glory.
O Lord You are worthy of glory.
O Lord You are worthy of glory.
Let us follow Your precepts and glorify You

O Lord, You are the chief elder.
O Lord, You are the chief elder.
O Lord, You are the chief elder.
Let us not seek to have any man take preeminence.

O Lord, You are the revelator.
O Lord, You are the revelator.
O Lord, You are the revelator.
Let us seek You until we all agree.

O Lord, You are the Head of the Body.
O Lord, You are the Head of the Body.
O Lord, You are the Head of the Body.
If we know You, we will have unity.

The Rational Mind Of Man

The rational mind of man
Can never understand
All the love that our Father has toward us.
The rational mind of man
Can never see the plan
That the Lord is revealing unto us.

So we walk in the Light,
By faith and not by sight,
Not trusting in our own mind,
But trusting in His might.
And we fight the good fight,
By faith and not by sight,
Not trusting in our own mind,
But trusting in His might.

The rational mind of man
Can never understand
All the love that our Father has toward us.
The rational mind of man
Can never see the plan
That the Lord is revealing unto us.

The rational mind of man
can never understand
all the love that our Father has toward us.
The rational mind of man
can never see the plan
That the Lord is revealing unto us.

So we walk in the Light,
By faith and not by sight,
Not trusting in our own mind,
But trusting in His might.
And we fight the good fight,
By faith and not by sight,
Not trusting in our own mind,
But trusting in His might.

The rational mind of man

all the love that our Father has toward us.
The rational mind of man

Theologians And Scholars

Theologians and scholars all arguing about,
Some verses in the Bible they think they figured out.
Where is the wise man, where is the sage,
Where's the debater of this age.
They're all quite offended and amazed,
That God has rejected all their man-made ways.

Remember what the saints of old have said,
"There are certain limits to the brain inside your head.
If we know some doctrine, _ we know it just in part.
Our own understanding puts the horse behind the cart.

The mind of man cannot figure out,
What the word of God is all about.
He prefers to believe what he prefers to be true.
His imagination will dream up something new,
Or else his old traditions make it difficult to move.
Interpreting the Scripture is a thing he cannot do.

Paul had to tell them he was set to be
One of the apostolic ministries.
As such he taught the doctrine as ordained,
And if they were all hearers and doers they would gain.

If you yield to the Spirit, God will show you the truth.
The natural mind is enmity, but God will pull you through.
See the foundation set in it's place.
Come in submission to His grace.
The proud and their opinions, God will abase.
But he will not reject any who truly seek His face.

David and his men built a new cart.
They had this great idea for carrying the ark.
God doesn't need ideas as He showed us on that day.
He gave us fair warning that he needs us to obey.

They all believe the Bible, at least they say they do.
But there are just some verses they can't believe are true.
Perhaps they are outdated so that they don't apply.
Or else they're unimportant and easy to deny.
With great intelligence, they keep explaining why.
But every time they move their mouth, you hear another lie.

Jeremiah said, "Be careful what you do."
If you say, "The Lord said," something, just make sure it's true.
The Lord won't tell me one thing and another thing to you.
If His Spirit leads us, He will end the Hullabaloo.

Those who never were sent by God, yet on their own they ran,
They don't want to wait on God, so they form their own plan.
They think they need no healer, so they can't be healed.
From these the things of God are all concealed,
Whose great and prideful mind could never yield,
But to the meek obedient heart, God's will is revealed.

Miriam wouldn't honor and obey!
She said, "Couldn't anybody else but Moses lead the way?"
God told her it was He, set Moses in that place.
To some He spoke through visions but to Moses, face to face

They Had It All Worked Out

He came as a little baby, meek and lowly.
He came as carpenter, walking holy.
He came as a young man healing cripples.
He came as a young man forgiving evil.

They had it all worked out, how He should come.
False teachers reasoned in their minds and missed Him.
But anyone who will simply seek His face,
Will find a hiding place in Him.

He came to be born in your heart today
He came to live within you in a new and living way.
He came as ministries--His Spirit within.
Set by the will of God, not men.
He came as order, precepts and power.
He came with authority in this last and present hour.
He came as a Head and a Body.
His Body comes in unity.

Thoughts We Have Thunk

Logic has made a phenomenal goof,
When it offers proof, there's no proof of the proof.
If your life is meaningless, aimless and punk,
You might give some thought to the thoughts you have thunk.

An elastic logic is taught in the schools,
And thinking they're wise, they become silly fools.
The students must kowtow or else they will flunk,
So they learn confusion in thoughts they have thunk.

Fierce strongholds of error reside in the mind
With paths that keep changing, that waggle and wind.
Logic is loaded with glazed over junk.
You don't really think how your thoughts have been thunk.

The natural mind is so lofty and high,
And amazingly sneaky when telling a lie.
If folks only knew how their thoughts have been thunk,
They wouldn't be tempted to fall for such bunk.

You think a consensus can make something true?
You think that the news is true-blue through and through?
For most of us, some of the thoughts we have thunk.
First entered our minds from the televijunk

We don't need a hypnotist to hypnotize.
Not knowing what's real, we can't tell what's lies.
The media loads us with informajunk
To use as a basis for thoughts we have thunk.

You hear a false statement, if it's stated well,
And think it's from heaven, but it came from hell.
Don't heedlessly, head-lessly lay in your bunk,
To be lulled to sleep by the thoughts you have thunk.

Theologians all argue. Ecologists do.
Historians, experts and scientists too.
If, ever, they thought how their thoughts have been thunk.
They wouldn't end up in a big arguemunk.

We just know in part, however we try,
And a part of the truth is like telling a lie.
One holds a leg, while another, the trunk.
We are just like those blind men at that elephunk.

You start with a true set of facts straight from God,
Then twist them and squeeze them to make something odd.
Human analysis, frankly, has stunk
Because of our errors in thoughts we have thunk.

One false assumption is all that it takes
To take many truths and replace them with fakes.
We ALL make assumptions--assume them with spunk.
With presuppositions ALL your thoughts are thunk.

Each of our ways is so right in our eyes.
It's amazing the things that our mind justifies!
Will you still depend on the thoughts that you thunk?
And worship the brain in your thick craniumk?

It may feel as real as real could feel,
But feelings are fickle, despite their appeal.
So products of wildest imaginajunk,
Feel real when repeated in thoughts that we thunk.

Being right is important . . . how we long to be right!
In confirming our rightness, we find our delight.
Our scholars and experts give confirmajunk,
But they fail to tell how their thoughts had been thunk.

Do you like to hear just what you like to hear?
Do you know it's right . . . 'cause it tickles your ear?
Folks think, by affirming, they've grown, but they've shrunk,
So they don't like to challenge the thoughts they have thunk.

Thought becomes action, then it becomes you.
You become what you think. You become what you do.
You might end up spiritually blind, deaf and drunk,
If you rely on the thoughts you have thunk.

All systems of man are now falling apart,
For they're founded on concepts from man's evil heart.
Your proud ship is sinking; it's sinking; it's sunk.
They wouldn't hold water . . . those thoughts you had thunk.

Would it be so silly to start from the start
To challenge your thinking, and open your heart?
Not laying the facts on the table . . . kerplunk!
Then polluting them with old thoughts you had thunk.

If we could just yield and let God reveal,
We could tell what is false. We could tell what is real.
We don't need to constantly, forever flunk
Entrapped within mazes of thoughts we have thunk.

Yielding is something we don't do too well.
Submission's a subject that just doesn't sell.
But if you're relying on thoughts you have thunk
You're building a tow'r of your own Babalunk.

This is the moment, and this is the day.
We've got to trust Jesus to show us the way.
In His mind, He doesn't have thoughts you have thunk.
Let Jesus recycle your theolojunk.

Unfolding Revelation

Can Christians grow by holding firm
To doctrine or to creed?
The Shepherd leads His sheep to where
They in new pastures feed.

Can food of yesteryear suffice
For hunger of today?
Was it not for our daily bread
That He taught us how to pray?

A soul can never grow in grace
That is content to stay
In blissful contemplation of
The things of yesterday,

And live alone in memory
Of some bright evening star
His grace had sent to lead us on;
Not keep us where we are.

UNFOLDING REVELATION is
God's purpose for this hour.
Why live in flesh? The stratospheres
Are vibrant with His power!

There is a Spirit realm to which
We can triumphant rise,
And blend redemption's melodies
With music from the skies.

We Have Not Followed Cleverly Designed Fables

To speculate about just how it's going to be,
When God fulfills His word, this cannot set us free.
But that which He has done among us in this day,
Tells us He'll fulfill His word in His own way.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.

To speculate about a future prophecy,
Will never bring the saints to perfect unity,
He's given us command of what to do today,
He supplies the pow'r. We yield and obey.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.

The theories all abound on what God really means.
And many of them put the saints of God at ease.
But God has shown His way, a way in which we walk.
It isn't just some reasoning. It isn't just some talk.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.

The pattern has been set. The Scripture makes it clear.
We must be born again. We must have ears to hear.
We need to build the church as God Himself designed.
We must do away with forms from man's own mind.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.

Growing up requires the pattern be complete.
As newborn babes receive the milk and then the meat.
Each part that God ordained. He made to give us life,
To give us faith and love, to take away all strife.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.

We've seen the apostolic fivefold ministry
Equipping all the saints and bringing unity
Of doctrine and of order, and laying on their hands,
To impart some spir'tual gifts, fulfilling Christ's commands.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.

Believe, confess, repent, be baptized and be filled.
Let living water flow from deep inside of you.
The laying on of hands by men whom God did call,
The using of the gifts, life flows from each to all.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.

The pattern now restored, not form, but God's own way.
Prophets and apostles, the five fold ministry.
The elders and the deacons as God's authority.
We yield to His Spirit. This is what sets us free.

Oh, we have not followed cleverly designed,
Fables and stories, fabrications of our mind,
But that which we've seen and handled with our hands,
We speak of our experiences in the Kingdom land.
