Let Your Spirit So Dwell In MeDownload MIDI
Let Your Spirit so dwell in me,
That your righteousness springs forth like a tree
That is planted by the River of Water,
And Your Glory is all that I can see.

We are dependent on the Spirit of the Living God for everything. There is no righteousness without Him. If we try to manufacture our own righteousness, it is futile.
Righteousness is a free gift from God. The Children of Israel went about trying to establish their own righteousness and so they failed to submit to God's righteousness. They failed to allow God's free gift of righteousness to spring forth.
God's righteousness always begins with the leading of God and ends with God doing His works through us. God leads. God speaks to us and gives us a vision of reality. He shows us who we are in Christ and what we are to do as He speaks to us.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word, the logos or utterance, of God. God speaks and faith comes. This faith is not of yourself; it is the Gift of God lest anyone should boast.
This is the faith that gives us access into the grace of God. There's power for righteousness in God's grace. It is God's grace that does the works of God through us. This is righteousness and the only way that anyone can do a work of true righteousness.
God must lead, give His faith, and do the works by His grace.
When grace has done the works through you, then you will reap what you have sown. Submitting to the Holy Spirit in this way results in holy seed being sown into your soul, your heart, your mind. This holy seed grows there. It is not an idea or theory. It is Jesus Christ being formed in you. It is holiness. It is a transfiguration from glory to glory with each new submission.
